I was one of the inaugural participants in the Capstone Design project at the School of Engineering, where my team, under my leadership, achieved second place. My performance in the course was later recognized by Prof. Bi ZHANG, who kindly provided me with a letter of recommendation.

What is Capstone Design at SUSTech? 什么是南科大的综合设计课程?
The Capstone Design (Comprehensive Design) project was inspired by the undergraduate engineering education model in the United States, and its educational approach was later discussed in a Chinese higher-education journal. My team and I contributed one of the featured case studies.
综合设计(Capstone Design)课程借鉴了美国本科工程教育中的毕业设计模式,相关教学思路后来也发表在中文高等教育期刊上。我们团队的项目被作为案例之一收录其中。
Abstract 摘要
This paper discusses various models of emerging engineering talent training both at home and abroad, and summarizes the common characteristics of these models. In the context of deepening engineering-education reform and implementing Emerging Engineering Education in China, the College of Engineering of the Southern University of Science and Technology launched a “Comprehensive Design” course as an integral part of its new engineering curriculum. The course offers special-topic lectures and dual mentorship for industry projects in order to cultivate students' problem-solving ability, teamwork, engineering ethics, and international perspective, while also strengthening collaboration between the university and industry.
本文梳理了国内外新工科人才培养模式的典型路径,并总结其共性特征。在深化工程教育改革、推进新工科建设的背景下,南方科技大学工学院开设了“综合设计”课程,作为新工科体系中的关键实践环节。课程通过专题讲座、企业项目和双导师制,系统培养学生的问题解决能力、团队协作精神、工程伦理意识与国际化视野,同时也进一步强化了学校与产业之间的联系。
